Labelling of tires: why? Inflating your tires

etiquetage des pneus en Europe
You know maybe not, but the European Parliament voted in favor of tire labeling. This is to help consumers buy its tires , and is based on three criteria:

  • fuel economy: a scale of A to G, A being the least fuel consumer

  • security ( wet grip ) as a scale of A to G, where G is the worst adhesion

  • noise: the number of decibels is shown directly, and special labels will be applied to the tires that make less noise (below 68 dB)

This tire labeling will provide a common basis for comparing the performance and thus facilitate the choice before buying as individuals professionals. Although the price of tires may vary greatly according to different performance. Calculators should also be created on the sites of manufacturers, to calculate the savings you get when buying a tire graded A rather than Class C for example.

A website is also planned for the month of September 2010, which should collect and centralize all information regarding the performance of tires .

How To Play Age Of Empires 2 Without Cd

Inflating your tires is very important for both your safety and your budget.

Indeed, improperly inflated tires increase the risk of bursting. The tire crashes more each spin, which causes abnormal overheating. The risk of bursting or detreading is so important. The grip, especially when cornering, is also lower, which increases the risk of landslides, especially on wet pavement.

Your budget is also increased: a underinflated tire wears more important and more irregular. You also consume more fuel. One trick is to reverse your rear tires with those forward every 5000 km.

Follow the instructions given by the manufacturer of your car to the your tire pressure, and do not forget the pressure regularly.
